Beckett Keating

My name is Beckett Keating and I am a freshman at the University of Georgia. I have always had a unique interest about history and the world around us. To be more specific, Modern history and current events are of my top interest. I have always been drawn towards these topics ever since third grade. I have kept my interests through high school and now into college where I am majoring in Political Science, which relates to what I have loved, and taking classes that relate to what I have always been profound at. I also love playing chess. I have played chess since Kindergarten and have stayed active ever since. Chess is a good way for me to calm my head and put my brain to work while also enjoying it. Similarly, I have always loved working out, whether it is cardio related or weight lifting related, it always calms my head and is important to my lifestyle. For work, I am not sure what is next yet, but I have always had an interest in law. In high school, I worked in the restaurant business for my junior and senior year. I really enjoyed it, though I was just a food runner. I would love to become a server after this upcoming school year as it would be beneficial to me and I would enjoy it.
