Keda Edwards Pierre
I AM. I am also defined by the honourable roles of mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. I began this blog earlier this year and have avoided it like the plague ever since - until now. Why? I took a leap and exposed myself more than I had in my entire life. It felt very vulnerable - and I didn't like it!
However, starting this blog was a part of a process that is now well underway. As I am learning to "seek out loud" and share my experience - it is becoming less scary. I am exploring more about social networks and blogging. You can now find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/veranicare and through the True2Soul Radio Network: https://www.spreaker.com/user/true2soulnetwork)
A few of my earlier Facebook entries were quite long; and I was told to "blog it". So, I'm back! Bear with me as I figure out how to maneuver on here.
A bit about me:
I currently work as a police officer in Toronto. My over 22 years of service with the City has included work in court services, parking, and then a uniform officer.
What preceded my policing career was my volunteerism and advocacy in areas of gender, race and youth equity over the last 26 years. My personal life, community work, and professional life taught me many things in the areas of equity. One major lesson for me has been that real healing within a community begins with real healing within Self.
This realisation led me to holistic health for my own journey in healing. This, in turn, led me to train professionally as a holistic health practitioner. Now, I also serve and support professionally as a Vitality Activist, Intuitive Coach, Spiritual Healer, Reiki Master/Teacher & Owner of Verani Care (Mobile Holistic Health Services).
My passions are all grounded in being True2Soul. This adage has defined and guided me throughout my life. "True2Soul" is my guiding light and my litmus test. It led me to create Verani Care Inc. and to discover that it is Soul that truly Heals Mind and Body :)
Well, here goes! I've been asked so many times to write and share my stories, experiences, and thoughts. I'm excited to say - that I finally feel ready to do so! Many blessings to you.
