Keely Griffin

Amherst, Massachusetts, United States

Hi everyone! My name is Keely and I am a junior majoring in marketing in the Isenberg School of Management with a double major in sustainability management through the Bachelor's Degree with Individual Concentration (BDIC) program at UMass Amherst. I have a passion for marketing, sustainability and helping small businesses and organizations achieve their goals.

I have seen my parents struggle with the challenges of running their own small businesses, and I hope to one day become a management/marketing consultant in order to help grow and improve businesses to further their chances of standing out amongst their competitors and developing the most effective impression on their target market.

As former president of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), an Honor Society on campus, I had the amazing opportunity to grow and cultivate the organization with support received from mentors of the UMass community, and the help of my committed executive board. Together, we saw a significant growth in membership, funding, and events. Such events gave attendees the opportunity to grow as leaders and make the workd a better place.

My passion and attention are now focussed on exploring new challenges as a national executive board member of Protect Our Breasts, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating millennials on the toxins in ever day consumer items that may contribute to breast cancer. In my opinion, there is nothing more gratifying than watching the hard work and dedication that you commit to improving an organization eventually pay off in the end.
