I've been working in environmental engineering, permitting, compliance and consulting for more than 18 years. I've had the good fortune to work across the field from air pollution to solid waste. Most of my experience is in drinking water and wastewater and my main interest is water issues. I'm a bit of a policy geek and I've found myself often in the role of translator between technical staff and managers. My experience has led me to see that good engineering, good management and good policy is usually the same thing and that leadership can make or break an undertaking.
