Hi, my name is Keishaly Cabrera Cruz, im in my firs year of Chemical Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico at Humacao. I had been working in this area since i ws in 10th grade. I start working on research and the first one was of an Analysis of the chemical properties of the Active Ingredient found in a slimming pill. I participate on the Distrital and Regional Science Fair and I was one of the three selected projects to compete on the International Science Fair which was held on Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. That ws one on the most important experiences in my life. My other research was on production of Biodiesel made with algae oils. With this project i competed too and I recieve the firts palce. When I entered to the university I start working as a Mento Assistant but I work directly woth two biodiesel projects. One of them such as in my case was selected to compete on the International Science Fairs to be held on Los Angeles, California. Without a doubt, that is another triumph to my professional live and it motivate me tocontinue doing good researchs and keep being envolved in all the science activities that I can. In my second semester I started working as Mentor, a huge responsability but a new and great challenge. Lately I start getting envolves in ctivities related with the SHPE (Society of Professional Hispanic Engineers) to open my road and leave my footprint in everithing I done.
