Keith Stallworth

Utility executive Dr. Keith Stallworth of Detroit worked in both public and private sector executive marketing positions prior to being named Chairman of Utility Services of America. Commencing his entrepreneurship as a teenager, he and several friends organized The Gentleman's Organization, which sponsored concerts, shows, and dances throughout metro-Detroit and Windsor, Ontario. Their promotional activities ranged from collegiate concerts with the Eagles, Commodores, Rick James, and Earth Wind & Fire, to a Stevie Wonder concert in the United Kingdom. He later worked in executive marketing positions for Time Inc., Parents Magazine, and World Book Childcraft International.

Dr. Keith Stallworth's promotional experience eventually led to an opportunity to help host foreign business relocation candidates during the first Detroit Gran Prix while Deputy Director of the Michigan Department of Commerce. Dr. Stallworth also helped launch Michigan's 6 of 40 Lotto game as the State Marketing Executive of the Michigan Lottery.

Later in his career, Dr. Keith Stallworth owned World Class Sports & Entertainment and Stallworth Entertainment, which operated nightclubs in five states renowned for frequent visits by professional athletes and celebrated recording artists. Dr. Stallworth has also served on the Board of Directors of Pink Lake Land Development Corporation of Dakar, Senegal. He has maintained interests in the finance and insurance industries, co-founding Liberty Risk Management Insurance Holding Company, Stallworth & Lindenbeck Insurance Brokers, and Stallworth Cash Management. The three firms provided services to numerous major corporations, including General Motors, Ford Motor Company, GTECH Corporation, Toys R Us, AAA Michigan, Detroit Edison, Bell Broadcasting, Regal Plastics, and Bing Steel.

As one of three family members elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, Dr. Keith Stallworth also was elected Wayne County Commissioner. He has earned Legislator of the Year and Advocate of the Year Awards from the National Minority Business Development Council, Fannie Lou Hamer Political Action Committee, Presidents Council of State Universities, Michigan Food Banks Council, Michigan Association of Health Plans, Michigan Association of Mental Health Boards, and the Southeast Michigan Hospital Association.
