Dr. Keith Berman has spent years in practice as a plastic surgeon, performing thousands of procedures in his state-of-the-art ambulatory surgical facility located on New York’s Staten Island. At this facility, Dr. Berman provides breast reductions, augmentations, and lifts, as well as liposuction, tummy tucks, eyelifts, and many other services. A member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Keith Berman began his career as a plastic surgeon at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Department of Surgery in 1999. He remains an attending surgeon for hospital to this day, in addition to practicing in his private offices on Staten Island and in New York City. Dr. Keith Berman also provides independent evaluations for insurance and disability claims, examining patients with a wide range of plastic surgery issues, burns, facial fractures, hand injuries, and scars. He provides insurance companies with state-of-the-art digital photo documentation and computerized in-house evaluations. Dr. Keith Berman has contributed to advancement in the treatment of hand injuries through surgical interventions, authoring an article for the Annals of Plastic Surgery 1999 edition entitled “Internal Fixation of Phalangeal Fractures Using Titanium Miniplates.” Dr. Berman also presented his research to his fellow professionals in the Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgeons and the New England Hand Society. Dr. Berman attended the pre-medical program at Columbia University from 1985 to 1986, having previously graduated with honors from Tulane University the previous year with his undergraduate degree. Dr. Berman earned his medical degree at the SUNY (State University of New York) Downstate Medical Center in 1991. He went on to complete a plastic surgery residency at UMass Memorial Medical Center in 1998. Dr. Keith Berman is licensed to practice medicine in New York state and board-certified as a plastic surgeon.
