Keith Gerchak

The great-grandson of Russian vaudevillians, KEITH GERCHAK grew up in Cleveland, OH, and went on to study acting while earning a Master’s Degree in Architecture at Tulane University and the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the UK, traveling extensively throughout Europe.

Returning to Cleveland, he launched his career as a registered architect, working on a broad range of building types while continuing to perform regularly and co-founding a small resident professional theatre company in downtown Cleveland’s Playhouse Square.

Relocating to NYC and then LA, Keith joined the international firms Theatre Projects Consultants and Theatre DNA as a respected designer of performing arts centers, working with globally-recognized architecture firms and acousticians on high profile projects around the world, with budgets up to $100 million.

In NYC, Keith expanded his theatre background to include over 50 stage credits, from Motel the tailor in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF - opposite Paul Sorvino - to Marlin the father in Disney's FINDING NEMO THE MUSICAL, which found him singing high B-flats while doing aerial somersaults with a puppet in his hands. He created the role of Jeffrey in the original off-Broadway production of THE ROAD TO QATAR, including the cast album.

Trained in improv at The Pit, UCB, and The Groundlings, Keith has worked in TV, film, commercials, and voiceover, including his recurring role on ABC’s THE MIDDLE, Adult Swim’s EAGLEHEART, Disney’s DOG WITH A BLOG, and the Zac Efron feature THE DERBY STALLION. He voices “The Outsider” in the highly-anticipated sequel to one of the most popular video games of the decade, DISHONORED. His appearance on The Onion News Network has the rare distinction of being included in the PBS series MAKE 'EM LAUGH, a documentary on the history of comedy that found Keith sandwiched between Mae West and FAMILY GUY.

His writing career has ranged from contributing to two books and over a dozen international publications on the subject of theatre design, to rewriting parts of the Philippine National Building Code with the help of Imelda Marcos.

With Writing/ Producing Partner Marisa Guterman, Keith creates original content as Co-Founder of Double G Films, a film production company based in Los Angeles, currently in pre-production on the ensemble comedy feature LOST & FOUND IN CLEVELAND and in development on the romantic comedy WHAT’S HER FACE?
