He was born and raised in Bronx, NY

Growing up in the streets of the Bronx where graffiti was everywhere, father and uncles were tattoo collectors, you can say he was introduced to art at a very young age. After graduating from an Air Force academy high school and knowing he didn’t want to join the military or go to college, Keith struggled.

Although he had a job and was working, he knew it wasn’t his passion. The job didn’t last very long and Keith was let go. With no money saved or income coming his way he decided to do what he knew best which was hustle. Deciding to became a barber after cutting his own hair for many years. He soon became the talk of the town, and everyone was lining up to get haircuts by him. Although being a barber was fun and he was earning some income Keith knew there was something else missing.

Soon realizing that drawing was what always called his attention and what truly made him happy, he decided to take another step in the art direction and traded his clippers for a tattoo machine. With no experience but his drawing he hoped YouTube would help and watched a lot of videos on tattooing. Dedicated a lot of time and practice to the craft, he finally deciding to tattoo a friend, realizing it wasn’t too bad and that this could have been the passion he had been searching for whole life. After that the rest was history.

Now Keith is considered to be one of the top tattoo artist in New York and is even tattooing out of the world famous tattoo shop known as Bang Bang in New York City. With a high demand for his work from your average Joe to A-list celebrates like Kris Wu and athletes like Brandon Marshall, Evan Engram, Terrelle Pryor and more. As of today he still is a social media sensation. He’s also active on Instagram with @keithhernandez.nyc and communicates with his followers, clients and fans as his platform continues to grow.
