Keith Van Horn

Hi, I'm Keith Van Horn. I’m a former NBA player and current entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. I grew up in California, where I developed my passion for basketball, eventually earning a scholarship to the University of Utah. Under legendary coach Rick Majerus, I became a Consensus First Team All-American, the 1997 ESPN National College Basketball Player of the Year, and Utah’s all-time leading scorer.

I was selected second overall in the 1997 NBA Draft and went on to play 10 seasons in the NBA . During my professional career, I competed in two NBA Finals and established myself as one of the league’s leading forwards.

Following my basketball career, I transitioned into entrepreneurship, founding, developing, and selling several businesses. I also founded a non-profit youth basketball organization, Premier Basketball Club in 2012, where I spent nearly a decade as Executive Director and National Team Coach, helping develop the next generation of basketball talent before retiring from those roles in 2021.

Today, I serve as Managing Partner of VHRE Properties, overseeing investment strategy and development opportunities. I’m passionate about how thoughtful real estate investment can create meaningful places, strengthen communities, and positively impact the lives of residents, employees, and local businesses.

Giving back has always been an important part of my family’s values. Through the Van Horn Family Charitable Fund, I help guide philanthropic efforts focused on human dignity, health, youth development, spiritual values, and land conservation. Our family has contributed millions of dollars to charitable organizations over the years, with the hope of inspiring future generations to continue serving others.

My family and I live in Colorado, where I enjoy spending time outdoors, fly fishing, boating, hunting, and cross-country skiing. I also enjoy traveling, bourbon, and playing the piano and ukulele.
