My name is Kelby Smith. I'm a senior studying mass communication at Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
My friends and family will describe me as understanding and helpful. I was born and raised in the nation’s capitol, Washington, D.C. Growing up DC helps build a lot of character. You're taught to do things on your own at an early age and build the "go get it" mentality.
Though life experiences, learned to figure out my strengths and weaknesses. I am a responsible and hardworking student. I am very sociable and I have a lot of friends, even though I may come off as an introvert. I like to get to know new and interesting people.
When I was in high school, I feel in love with mass media. I've always been a tech savvy and a people's person -- so this field felt like a natural fit.
My current goal is to make this world a better place to live in by starting the changes with myself. My mantra I live by is "Do what you have to do, in order to do what you want to do". To me, this means do everything that's required and the work that necessary so you can do the things that you want to do.
