Katherine Shayne

Hi, my name is Katherine Shayne, and I am the young woman to the left in my background picture. I was born on September 11, 1992 in the beautiful Laguna Hills, California to Robert and Angie Shayne—who have, since then, both remarried. I have lived in California, South Carolina, North Carolina, Italy, and Columbus, Georgia. I am the daughter of a retired pilot in the Marine Corps, so naturally we move a lot. I attended St. Anne Pacelli Catholic School from Kindergarten to 12 grade in Columbus, Georgia. Now, I am currently a freshman and the University of Georgia. I have a younger brother named Robert, two older step- brothers named Bradley and Sam Waddell, and a younger half-sister named Georgia Waddell. We have four dog: Tank, Belle, Bubba, and Guinea. My dog is Guinea, and she is a 120 pound Bernese Mountain Dog that I rescued from an abandoned house where she was tied up without food or water as a puppy. If I was to suggest to any stranger on the street what their next dog should be, I would tell them a Bernese Mountain Dog. They are the sweetest, most loving dogs on this planet! Seeing my love of dogs, it was only natural that I would attend the University of Georgia and be a true Dawg myself! Among other thinks I love are coffee dates, mountain biking, Kings of Leon, playing piano, and the outdoors.
