My entire life I have attended extremely small private schools. Growing up in such a big city like Los Angeles, I guess my parents felt it made more sense for me to experience a smaller, more intimate academic environment. Even though it was an academically enriching experience and I developed some really great friendships and connections and learned a lot, I did not necessarily thrive at a small private school with little to no social experience or school spirit. My personality was just not the right fit for such a boring environment. So by my senior year of high school I knew that it was time to branch out and experience something new and exciting by attending a large university full of new people and situations! I began touring many colleges in my local area of Los Angeles and surrounding areas, but it did not take long before I figured out I wanted a complete change in my life. That is when I flew across the country and toured The University of Georgia! I knew from the moment I walked onto the tour bus that this was the place for me, and I could not be happier with the friends and experiences I have had so far in Athens!
