Kelly Brown

My name is Kelly Brown, and I am a second year student at the University of Georgia. I am currently working on my bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. My goal is to one day pursue a career in either audiology or speech therapy in order to work with children who have cochlear implants.

I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. The year that I moved to Atlanta was the same year that my two cousins were born. My cousins are now 13 years old and were born profoundly deaf, but with the help of cochlear implants, they are now able to hear. My cousins have been an inspiration in my life and are reminders each day of why I wish to work with children with cochlear implants.

I hope to use this page as a tool to reach my goals as an audiologist or speech therapist and as a resource to meet others who share my interest in communication disorders.
