Hey there!

I'm Kelle - a senior at UNLV ready to graduate in December!!

This page was created in the interest of exploring my personal learning network for English 406B.

My PLN is designed to be a map to provide a more visual and interactive network, because after all - what's a network if it's not interactive?

My PLN map is broken into four major categories: networking, information, social media and personal space. Each branch of the map contains the logo and link to the major sources I use for each respective category. Most importantly, connected to these icons are pictures and links to the people and things I connect with personally.

I use my PLN and PLN map to organize myself and expand on my knowledge. Links such as the article connected to PBS help me learn new things. The other great part about the PLN and how I use it is the fact that each link takes me to a new one. The PBS article helped me find books and authors, some of which are linked onto Twitter and Facebook via my map. Then tools like the Evernote Hello come in to help me keep track of interactions with my new connections.

The fact that none of the links are a dead end offer the best proof for the sustainability of my PLN map. Each resource can change and grow as I do so no matter where the road after school takes me I can use the same resources and find new ones that are relavent to whatever I'm doing. That's why it's my PLN "map" - regardless of where I go or what I do it'll help prevent me from getting lost!
