Kelli Martin
My name is Kelli, a Houston, Texas native working as a web content administrator for a mortgage company. I "bleed maroon" as a Texas A&M University grad, since my memories and friendships made with fellow grads and mentors have proven unforgettable. I experienced the values of perseverance, friendship, unity and standing up for one another there.
After graduating with studies in human resources development and business, I studied children's ministry and Christian education at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. The people of Sojourn Community Church in Louisville helped me dive into a deeper relationship with Christ and to take another look at what community means with the people that I walk alongside daily. They showed how immeasurable and invaluable it is to give not only resources but also time, care, maybe even knowledge and then definitely hope to the communities that surround us. My time there gave me a hunger to see people and societies transform for the better.
Today, I am back living in Houston and am thankful for every day - each one is a gift. Optimism is my mindset, web design is my passion, running my escape, dance my love, coffee my fuel and God is my rock and refuge. "If the eyes would have no tears, the soul would have no rainbow" (-unknown). "Love God. Love others" (-Ben Stuart).
