I grew up around agriculture as a granddaughter of farmers in Greensboro, AL. As a child, I helped my family with row crops and breeding cows, poultry, swine, and fish. This is where my passion for agriculture was shaped and defined.
I am currently a graduate student at South Carolina State University working towards an MBA in Agribusiness. Having acquired my Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, I gained an appreciation for food education and discovered some of the issues that exist in the American agricultural industries. At the same time, I discovered a number of opportunities in the local market. This lead me to the idea of creating an experience for shoppers that would promote buying local foods and growing more efficiently using innovative growth techniques.
