Kelly Sills owns Coastal Bridge, a southern Louisiana based company that specializes in asphalt paving, commercial and residential site development, utilities and sewer preparation and heavy civil work like highway and bridge construction.

He started his very first job with Coastal Bridge when he was just 17 years old, which set his course for the next 30 years. Kelly continued to work summers for the company while pursuing his undergraduate education in Construction Engineering at Louisiana State University, the same institution where he also earned his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems and Decision Sciences.

After purchasing Coastal Bridge from his friend and mentor – the very same man who gave him his first job as a flagger – Kelly increased revenue and expanded Coastal Bridge from southern Louisiana to Florida and is continuing along the eastern seaboard to the Carolinas.

Kelly considers family, faith, hard work, philanthropy and entrepreneurship as the cornerstones of who he is and has been teaching his three sons, ages 17, 16 and 12 the incredible value of hard work and giving back. The Coastal Bridge business model reflects those same values.

The company regularly supports City Year, which is a nonprofit dedicated to education and helping schools and children succeed.

Further, Coastal Bridge also makes regular contributions to the Baton Rouge Symphony, The National CASA/GAL (Court Appointed Special Advocates/Guardian ad Litem) Association for Children, Special Olympics, the American Heart Association and the American Cancer Society.
