Scottish Soprano, Kelly Mathieson, first started as a Classical Ballet dancer (and many other genres) at two years old then started training at the Scottish Ballet company from eleven years old. Whilst training in ballet, jazz, , tap, and modern dance, Kelly also found her voice through her first teacher of seven years, Lorna Davidson. She continued her training at the Scottish Ballet, but soon decided to hone in on her vocal studies and attended the Royal Scottish Academy of Music as a junior, where she had lessons with Maragret Izatt. Kelly decided to pursue her passion for singing further and moved to London to study at the prestigious Royal College of Music to train with Tim Evan Jones and Andrew Robinson.Kelly recently graduated (July 2015) with a BMus(Hons) at the Royal College of Music

Before studying at the RCM she trained as a Junior at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music as a singer, and a French horn player. During her time at the RSAMD she won the prestigious junior John Wallace Opera trophy two years running. Kelly also has many winning titles from the Robert Burns Scottish music competitions, where she has won over thirteen winning Scottish titles.

Masterclasses that Kelly has performed in have been with names such as Roger Vingloes, Helen Lawson, Patricia McManon and Justin Lavender.She has also worked with Directors such as, Robert Carsen, James Bonas, Donald Maxwell, Oli Platt and Linda Orwell.

Currently Kelly lives in Vienna, Austria studying with Claudia Visca.
