After too many years of living a normal life in Melbourne Australia I decided to embark on a lifetime adventure, I took the advice I had tattooed on my arm and promised to do what makes me happy everyday forever. After years of moving and meeting new people visiting new places, becoming a Scuba Instructor, from the US to SE Asia, Mexico down and up Central America setting up a home in The Caribbean I found my way to Sweden. Why? The Swedish boy that stole my heart. I never in a million years thought I would be sitting here today and thats what I love about life. Anything is possible and anything can happen if your open to it.

To be honest with you, this has been one of the hardest things I have done in my life. Moving to a country where not only do I not speak the language but I've never even heard it before. I know nobody, Im sitting in my apartment wondering where the hell to start. Here I am an independent woman, solely dependant on the partner who led me here. I hated it. I found it impossible to find what I needed to find, do what I wanted to do and most importantly BE the person I AM.

Luckily for me I met some fantastic Swedes who have taken me under their wings although unfortunately, the rumours are true, Sweden is a hard nut to crack and Swedish people can feel impossible. But I see this trend changing, more people are breaking out of their boxes and if your lucky enough to meet the right swede for you, then you will have a friend for life.

I started this community blog because for the first few months of my stay I felt like I would never break through. But the good news is that THERE ARE LOTS OF OTHER PEOPLE FEELING THE SAME! and you know what, we don't have to. If this site can help even a couple of people find their feet and feel at ease then I feel I have succeeded. Find lifelong friends, talk to people who are going through the same things, meet Swedes, find advice on what to do and how to set yourself up, explore Sweden with others, get active and practice swedish with others who sound silly too!

I love Sweden and I love exploring new places and meeting new people. I invite all Swedes old and new to be apart of something new!
