Hello! I'm the creator of The Book Birdie, a blog that celebrates all types children's literature. Guests to The Book Birdie can find books reviews, ideas on how to use children and adolesent literature in the class room, and much more. When I'm not blogging, I work as an English teacher for the state of South Carolina, teaching American Literature, World Literature, and Children's Literature. I also have a part time gig as an Instructor at ITT Technical Institute.

I'm married to a wonderful man, and we have a spastic dog named Egon. I love reading (of course!), watching HGTV, and eating chocolate chip cookies.
