Kelly Farmer

Hello! I'm a recent graduate of the University of Virginia that studied Environmental Sciences and Urban & Environmental Planning.

Interestingly (or not), I have career and life goals in the creative business. You can usually find me watching a film, binging on television, looking up the latest web content, or scrambling amongst plants in a garden. I aspire to learn how everything works, experience the world, and share in the inspiration of stories.

What I do ​

• look for feels & stories -- in life, in experiences, in words, in images, in impressions -- the whole shebang
• explore creativity & imagination at a children's museum
• get emotional from experiencing amazing scores & soundtracks
• flex my green thumb
• make really bad jokes

What I have done

• President & member of OFFScreen - programming indie/foreign/classic film screenings at UVA
• Student Outreach Team Leader for UVA Sustainability
• organized movie-related events via UPC Cinematheque at UVA
• volunteered for the Virginia Film Festival
• volunteered for Tom Tom Founders Festival
• taught a Sustainability Merit Badge course for Boy Scouts
• helped a couple student film projects
• aided Rivanna Conservation Society in outreach & site cleanups
• some media editing (Final Cut Pro, Adobe CS, ArcGIS, SketchUp)
• made really bad jokes

What I want to do
