Kelly Clark
Student, Social Media Manager, and Writer in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Hey there, I’m Kelly. I’m an American living abroad in the wilds of British Columbia. By day, I'm a mild mannered student of history, but by night I'm a social media specialist, writer, theatre critic, voice actor, journalist, podcast director, and more.
I'm the Membership Outreach and Communications Officer for the University of Victoria Students' Society, which puts me in charge of the society's volunteer coordination and day to day social media. During my tenure I've been able to double our subscriptions, engagements, and volunteer presence, and I'm just warming up.
I apparently loathe downtime and fill my hours with every creative endeavour that I can. For example, I'm a regular guest contributor on Showbill Canada and recently provided character designs for a children's book called "Away From Home" that I co-wrote with my mother. I'm also in the formative stages of creating a role playing podcast.
I'm an experienced event host who has organised and executed more than a dozen fan conventions. I've hosted events inside of these conventions ranging from fashion shows to game shows and always love every minute of it. I've had the honour of being the primary VIP interviewer for Tsukino-Con, Victoria's premiere Japanese animation convention, and have interviewed such notables as Kensho Ono, the Japanese voice actor for Harry Potter.
I'm available for freelance writing, event hosting and consultation, collaboration, and film, voice, and stage performance. I'm also happy to meet new people and network.
