Michelle Kelly

Nature or nurture? I am not sure how I came to pursue nature as a passionate lifetime hobby and career choice. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska and thereafter travelling the globe; I have been in pursuit of beautiful places since birth.

I studied terrestrial ecology at the University of Vermont, biology at Western Carolina University, ecology and conservation in Botswana, and environmental health at the University of Arizona.

After wearing many hats, including: researcher, educator, farmer, and interpreter, I landed a job as a Naturalist at Savannah's very finest Oatland Island Wildlife Center.

Plants, insects, fungi, birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals--there is a lot to learn about in this ecological world on Earth and now I get paid to do it in one of the most beautiful places on Earth--The Georgia Coast.
