Kelly Ryan

Kelly Ryan was born in Montreal, and moved to New York where she attended Parsons School of Design. Upon graduation, Kelly began her career designing luxury handbags and jewelry for Kieselstein-Cord. This collection was sold exclusively for Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus. The product was met with great success and one of her designs was requested by the Metropolitan Museum of Art for their permanent collection. This gave her the confidence to start her own design house and within one month of opening her studio, she accepted Valentino and Donna Karan as clients. At the same time Ms. Ryan started her high end apparel and accessory collection, which was sold at Bergdorf Goodman. She was encouraged to open up her own boutique in Soho, which caught the eye of a Japanese agent, who then opened up Kelly Ryan boutiques in Tokyo and Fukuoka. Over the years, Miss Ryan has also designed for the Karl Lagerfeld brand. Most recently, Kelly was involved in the rebranding of 3 iconic American brand named Spiegel, Newport News and Shape FX. She served as creative director and lead designer, overseeing apparel, shoes and handbags for all 3 brands.
