Kelly Veenboer

• I am a philosopher, which means I think a lot...I like to think about life and all things we take for granted.

• I have a background in Language, Logic and Cognition. During my study Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam, I specialized in communication and logic. Beyond chosing all courses in the field of communication, I passed all courses of the master Discourse and Argumentation studies. My interest in communication and the rationale behind it, led to my MA thesis 'Politeness and compliance'. In my research project, I explain the tension between politeness and compliance in the inquisitive theory, after which I propose a solution for the inquisitive theory to deal with this tension. In J*uly 2011 I graduated.*

• In my spare time, I like to go out, do horse riding. I am also busy writing my own book about relativity in every day life and occasionally I write columns and poems.
