Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the student of a little class called EDIT 2000, my dear

On St. Simons Island, born and raised
On the beach where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all applying some sunscreen outside by the pool
When a couple of rays, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got one little sunburn and my mom got scared
And said "You're going to nanny, because you're skin's so fair."

I applied to Georgia and when it came in the mail
My college letter said "accepted" and you better not fail
If anything I could say that this letter was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Athens!

I pulled some all-nighters about seven or eight
And I yelled to the Spring semester "Yo, homes smell you later!"
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my beach as the student of Edit 2000
