18-year-old Journalism student at Ryerson University

I've always been a curious person. From the moment I was able to formulate sentences, I wondered, I grasped and most of all, I asked. Anything that came to mind that I didn't have an answer for would leave a burning sensation in the back of my head until I solved it. That's why it's so fitting that I've fallen into the world of journalism.

Asking questions is at the heart of my future career and, luckily, I've never had a problem with that. I can already sense the journalism school at Ryerson is the perfect home for me to helm my skills. I see myself writing for the multiple school plublications in the near future.

I plan on applying for (and hopefully attaining!) intern positions at recognised Toronto-based publications.

I am definitely not the type to write about politics or businesss, rather I see myself drifting over to the side of culture and arts. I regurarly read magazines such as W, Harper's Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Vogue and Nylon for all of my fashion-related needs, and I have a whole slew. There's something of an art behind the fashion industry that I love exploring and experiencing.

I'm also quite the music junkie, I enjoy an oversaturation of different genres. I spend most of my pay checks on the what I call the two C's: Clothes and Concerts. Everything from rap to alternative rock to electronic to indie music I listen to it all and love the defining differences between seperate genres.

I can one hundred percent see myself working for Time Magazine, The New York Times Fashion section or any Conde Nast publication.
