Kelvin Wong
Mechanical Engineer and Aspiring Project Engineer in Aberdeen, United Kingdom
As an engineer, Kelvin analyses, inspects & advises on technical recommendations for offshore pipelines installation to make sure they are fit to withstand the rough weather of the notorious North Sea.
A little bit of his backstory:
Upon graduating with a Master of Mechanical Engineering in 2011, he was offered a prospect of an investment analyst back home in Malaysia. Instead, he opted to remain in UK to train as an engineer. As it stands, pursuing a purposeful life to construct tangible values for the society and the attractive prospects of sultry European escapades by the doorsteps proved to be tempting for him to stay put instead!
Here's what he believes:
Be great at what you do, but once a while, be hungry for change, learn new things and be ready to grow.
Being a technically inclined professional has made him aware of his personal shortcomings upon completing the journey with the project & operations management team from 2014 to 2015. Since then, he is exploring opportunities to reinvest his technical qualities into the dynamic environment of project management lifecycles. So if you happen to come across any potential projects that need individuals with a pair of conscientious eyes, give him a nudge!
