Kelvin Omori

Kelvin Omori is a Canadian filmmaker focused on exploring Blackness in contemporary society and popular culture. He earned a degree in communication, media, and film from the University of Windsor in 2015 and a directing certificate from UCLA in 2019. In 2016, he founded Komatik Films, starting with music videos after interning with Director X. His first short film, Tuition (2018), won several awards, followed by A Close Eye (2019), an Academy Award qualifier licensed by REVOLT TV. In 2020, Kelvin joined Black Execs as director and executive producer. He co-produced the web series Bloom Room in 2023, which premiered at the American Black Film Festival. He also directed Guided Meditation for Operation Prefrontal Cortex, promoting mental wellness. In 2024, he partnered with The Legacy Awards, becoming one of its content directors.
