Kelvin Truitt

Pastor Truitt was ordained as a minister under the authority of Bishop Eisley Simmons of South Sacramento Christian Center at the age of 16 years old. A few years later he attended college at California State University, Northridge where the Lord led him to start a once a month midnight prayer session on the campus. He was faithful to do so, and was rewarded with seeing the Lord grow the gathering into the hundreds by his graduation. Pastor Truitt continued his developing lifestyle of reckless abandon for the Lord’s will, and working to actualize his dreams and in 2004 he opened “In The Zone Barbershop.” During these transition years of graduation, and operating under his entrepreneurial gifting, Pastor Truitt also began producing an event entitled “First Fridays.” It is a platform focused primarily on the exposure of the undiscovered talented and gifted dreamers in the Los Angeles area. In August of 2009, Pastor Kelvin Truitt was ordained as a pastor, and under the Lord’s guidance he launched a church that same year: The Living Room. As the Shepherd of this ministry, Pastor Truitt is leading by example and walking out the Prototype Church as outlaid in Acts – a church that is based on relationship with Christ as well as a humble and esteeming relationship with one another. As with anything else that the Lord has led Pastor Truitt to do, be it praying on a campus, cutting hair, or starting a church – his heart for the Lord is reflected in this ministry, drawing people in, and changing lives.
