Ken Aseka is so passionate about journalism; telling the world what is happening with fairness, impartiality, humanity, and accountability. This explains why he studied Chemistry, (the long chains of Hydrocarbons, and Benzene rings, the Schrödinger Equation…) together with Mathematics (The Ring Theory, Calculus, epsilon ...) but landed in a newsroom.

He is a proficient journalist with competences in print and broadcast. Aseka has worked Citizen Television as a trainee reporter, for The Standard Group as a writer, Capital FM-Online edition as a content contributor, The Kenya News Agency (Kakamega) as a reporter, CaresCorp Research International as Lead content developer and ICS_SP, as a Communications Strategist. Currently, Aseka is Sub-Editor, at KTN News, Kenya’s only 24-hr News Channel.

Àseka also does voice-overs. In 2014, he voiced Kenya’s Smithsonian Festival in the United States, a series that was produced by the Department of Film Services, DFS, and aired on local TV stations.

Prior to joining the media, he taught Chemistry and Mathematics in Secondary Schools and tutored a primary school in Nairobi’s Dandora Phase V.

Writing is part of Aseka, with over 100 of his articles having been published by leading media houses in the country.
