Kendall Coffey is a founding member of the law firm Coffey Burlington, PL, with offices in Miami, Florida. Coffey Burlington handles matters in Florida as well as the United States.

Mr. Coffey also serves as the Chair of the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission for South Florida. He was selected by Florida’s United States Senators and oversees the 21-person commission that selects individuals to be considered by the White House to become U.S. federal judges. He also helps the commission choose the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

Mr. Coffey served during the 1990's as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, the nation's largest federal prosecution office. As the U.S. Attorney, He was liable for thousands of federal criminal prosecutions and civil lawsuits involving the U.S He then continued private law practice with major litigation roles in high profile cases such as the 2000 U.S. Presidential Election Recount.

Mr. Coffey serves as a frequent teacher and guest lecturer. Currently he is an adjunct faculty member for the University of Miami School of Law, teaching classes on Florida Constitutional Law. He also appears regularly as a guest legal analyst on international news networks, sharing his perspectives on major cases and controversies. He has also appeared as a legal analyst and consultant for news networks such as NBC and MSNBC. He has also authored numerous legal works.
