Executing a sale is like eating a caramel apple with braces, hard but rewarding and satisfying.

Since I have been young I have always loved getting to know people. I also have always been good at selling, whether it was a fundraiser for a football team or work experience at an internship. Sales has always been an enjoyable challenge to me.

Part of the fun is getting to know people. Understanding where they come from and what they are going through is always so impactful to me. In my internship experience as a salesperson I love getting to know someones background in order to see if what I am selling can add relevant value to their life.

So far in college I have learned that in business you must establish meaningful and sincere relationships. As a Senior in college it continues to become more apparent to me how important establishing relationships at an early age is. Due to my past and current experiences I have been able to form my ideas about sales and marketing.

Sales and marketing are about personal connection to me. While my ultimate goal may be to sell a product and make a profit, I believe first and foremost that finding my passion for the product and connecting with clients is what will make me successful.

For many people in sales making a profit is their only focus, but I prefer to initially focus on creating valuable, lasting, and meaningful relationships with customers.
