Kendell Renee Kelly is lawyer, business strategist and entrepreneur.
As Assistant General Counsel of Ocean Tomo, LLC, Kendell Renee Kelly was primarily responsible for supporting the firm's IP Private Sales, Auctions and Corporate Finance businesses. Prior to joining Ocean Tomo, Kendell practiced law in the Chicago, IL offices of Greenberg Traurig, LLP and Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.
In private practice, Kendell considers herself an adviser to her roster of clients, which includes importers, entertainers, restaurateurs, clothing designers, and business owners. She handles everything from domain-name disputes to copyright protection to business formation and dissolution.
"I counsel clients on how to better protect and grow their brands using technology and the law. Occasionally, I get to help them determine what companies they should buy or start. My practice is unconventional, and that's the reason I had to create a new term to describe it."

Ms. Kelly received a B.S. in General Science from Spelman College, a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. She is admitted to Illinois, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the United States Supreme Court bars.
