Kendra Thompson

Hello, my name is Kendra Thompson and I am a Graduate student completing a Master’s degree in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL.

I graduated with a Bachelors of Mass Communications degree in 2010 from Bethune-Cookman University and decided to continue my path in Journalism. I have interned with well-known companies Fox News for example gaining knowledge in News Journalism dealing with a high volume of information and a wide range audience. One of the key positions for me at Fox 35 News was an Assistant Producer position (AP). In this position I made tough decisions in critical times. I was the go to person for everything dealing with the production of the news segment relaying key information to the news producers.

After my internship ended with Fox 35 News I was offered a position, although I declined in order to further my education in Journalism. I have a passion for production and writing as well. My decision to obtain my Masters was one I made before I even started my Bachelors. I’ve always known that I wanted to go far in the Journalism industry with my education. Obtaining my Masters has always been a goal of mine and in August of 2013 I will be proud to say I’ve accomplished this milestone.

Upon earning my Masters I will be pursuing my career in Photo Journalism. I know trade of Journalism from the laws; the moral nature of the business. I believe that it’s important not to jump into anything unless you’re absolutely sure you will excel.
The purpose of my website is to bring photojournalism to all of my followers. I publish stories which can be found here for my viewers to view and comment on. I’m always available to talk I will list my handles below.
