Graphic Designer in Manhattan, Kansas
Hi, I'm Kendra Colerick! I'm currently a junior studying Graphic Design at Kansas State University. I grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, where my love for animals and my community really shaped who I am today. I started my journey thinking I would go into Veterinary Medicine, but soon realized that my passion for art and creativity was calling. That led me to switch my major to Graphic Design, where I've been able to merge my interests in a way that I hope will make a real difference.
Throughout my life, I've been deeply involved in sports and community service, which have taught me a lot about teamwork, discipline, and giving back. These experiences have influenced my approach to design, where I aim to create work that not only looks good but also serves a purpose. I'm particularly passionate about animal welfare and using my skills to advocate for those without a voice.
When I'm not buried in studio projects or coursework, you can find me out snowboarding, playing video games with my brother, or experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes. I also enjoy photography and am an active member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, which has given me a fantastic network and opportunities to continue my volunteering efforts.
I'm really excited about the future and the opportunities to blend my graphic design skills with causes I care about, especially through my new website where I showcase my work and connect with like-minded creatives.
