Kendra King
Pittsburgh, Pa Usa
Hello! I'm Kendra. Originally from a small suburb of Philadelphia, I'm now a Pittsburgh convert. I work as a research specialist at the University of Pittsburgh's Center for Social and Urban Research and am working on my Masters in Education from Pitt in Higher Education Management. Currently I intern at Carlow University as a Program Coordinator for Dionne's Project for Safe Relationships, a campus initiative to end domestic violence and promote healthy relationships.
My time as an undergrad at Pitt was life-changing, and I want to pursue a career in student affairs that allows me to ensure future college students have an equally valuable and enriching experience. Ultimately, I'd like to work as a students affairs professional at a small, urban university. My main interests are diversity initiatives, women's issues, and creating an inclusive environment for all types of students as higher education continues to diversify each year.
When I'm not at work or in class, I'm usually trying on sunglasses at Target, hanging out with my roommates, reading a new book, or watching a re-run of Ancient Aliens on The History Channel.
