Kendra Jones

I'm a rising Senior at NCCU, class of 2016 and a social work major. I chose social work because it is a helping profession that assists clients and their overall wellbeing. I know that there are other professions that help people as well such as nursing and teaching but social work fits me best because I am able to assist a person based on their personal needs. I plan on returning to NCCU and continuing on to graduate school to obtain my MSW. Hopefully within a few years, I see myself in a supervisory position after having obtained a supervisor licensure in social work. I would love to work in a hospital setting either in a state hospital, hospice, or a VA hospital. I'm a firm believer in the saying "you can do anything you put your mind to", with faith, hard-work and consistency. I have a support system, including myself, who motivates me. I am dedicated to everything that I do and I am driven by success.
