Katharine English
As a Consultant with 22 Story Strategies, Katharine English works with start-ups and blue chip brands to identify opportunities for leveraging new technology and digital product extensions, which will meaningfully contribute to top-line revenue and stimulate growth. 22 Story Strategies was founded in 2010 as “The Intentional Growth Network,” and is comprised of a small group of digital media veterans with over 60 years of combined experience in the industry. Members of the group have delivered solutions to companies such as Time Warner, MasterCard, BT, NBC, AOL, Reuters, McKinsey, and the National Gallery of Art. Prior to the formation of 22 Story, Katharine was VP of Digital Strategy and Sales Development for Cox Communications’ Travel Channel, where she leveraged emerging ad technologies to create new vertical sales channels, growing the addressable audience by 30%.
Prior to assuming that role, Katharine was the VP of Interactive Media for Travel Channel, where she was able to increase total visits to its core website by 34%, visits per month by 50%, and average pages per visit by 20%. She also oversaw development and deployment of the network’s first mobile product, GO, and was a key strategy lead on “Kidnap!,” the No. 1 branded Facebook app in 2009.
Katharine has over 15 years’ experience in the new media space, and has held senior management roles at CNET, AOL, Lycos and ThirdAge Media, and served as Vice President and General Manager of Interactive Entertainment & Multimedia for NBC Internet, Inc. There, she was responsible for setting and implementing digital media strategies for the company's online holdings, including NBC.com, AccessHollywood.com, Videoseeker.com and Snap.com's lifestyle- and entertainment-focused areas. In this role, Katharine created integrated digital programs from 1998-2000 which consistently captured 5-10% of on-air spends, at a time when “integrated marketing” was not even a part of the media lexicon.
