Ken McDonald is a seasoned technologist, instructor, and founder of Generation Tech. Ken delivers the technical strategy and leadership required to secure client operations, optimize efficiency, and advance processes. He’s recognized for his inspirational leadership style and for his ability to communicate complex technical concepts in plain English to a range of audiences.
As founder of Generation Tech, Ken manages and oversees all aspects of the fast-growing technologies services company. He specializes in IT infrastructure design along with private and public cloud services, fostering a results- and customer-focused organizational culture. Clients include businesses in the entertainment media, commercial real estate, manufacturing, engineering, and patent arenas.
Prior to launching Generation Tech, Ken worked as Operations Manager/Systems Support Manager for DENSO Europe in the Netherlands. In this role, he drove the company’s 24/7 operations support service, approved all IT implementations, liaised with leadership in 12 countries, played a fundamental role in planning meetings, and acted as decision-maker on the company’s Change Advisory Board.
Earlier in his career, Ken held numerous executive and leadership roles, served as Avionics Guidance and Control Specialist for the U.S. Air Force and Tennessee Air National Guard, and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCE), along with numerous IT industry certifications.
