Dr. Ken Mwatha treats patients as an emergency physician at a hospital serving patients in and around Baltimore, Maryland. The position requires that he carefully diagnose and treat conditions ranging in severity from minor to critical. Before joining the Baltimore-area hospital, Dr. Ken Mwatha gained practical experience as attending physician at the Harbor Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine. While there, he sat on Harbor’s Emerging Physician Leadership Council and chaired its community outreach sub-section.

To train for his medical career, Dr. Ken Mwatha enrolled at Johns Hopkins University, where he earned his MD. Once finished with medical school, he completed the Johns Hopkins Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Mwatha subsequently earn certification through the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Over his career, Dr. Mwatha has co-written several professional publications, including the Johns Hopkins Emergency Medicine Intern Guidebook. Moreover, he contributed to a soon-to-be-published medical student textbook.

When not working, he pursues his interest in astronomy and plays such sports as soccer and rugby.
