News Reporter and Radio Personality in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Greetings, I’m Kennedi Walker!
My name is Kennedi Walker and I am an award-winning journalist seeking a reporter position.
During the summer of 2018, I worked at Good Morning America under Robin Roberts. I became the first intern to host "GMA Wake Up Call," which airs live on the shows official Facebook page. I was also featured on live segments on GMA. During my time there, I shadowed Robin on her interviews and traveled with her to Chicago. At the end of the internship, I had a sit-down interview with her about her journey to the anchor desk, being the first black woman co-anchor at ESPN and more. Robin is now my life-long mentor.
Along with being an anchor and reporter, I am the News Director of KLSU 91.1 FM.
In 2017, I became the first African American News Director at KLSU on record. I oversee a team of reporters and host my radio show, "The Kennedi Show," every Sunday from 5-6pm.
In the summer of 2017, I was the youngest intern at Louisiana's number one news station, WWL-TV. I worked with Sally-Ann Roberts and participated in a panel about teen gun violence.
