Kennedy Mmari is a Tanzanian strategist, writer, and technology entrepreneur working at the intersection of communication, innovation, and social impact. He is the Founder of Serengeti Bytes, a technology and communications company that helps governments, startups, NGOs, and global brands solve real problems using software, data, and powerful storytelling.

With nearly a decade of hands-on experience and over 30 years of combined team expertise, Kennedy has led projects across East Africa in digital transformation, public communication, media strategy, and product development. His work spans ride hailing platforms, civic technology, fintech, urban mobility, media platforms, and large scale communication strategies for public institutions and development organizations.

Kennedy is also the Founder and Chief Curator of Changemakers Magazine, an annual publication celebrating 100 Tanzanians driving impact across business, policy, technology, culture, and civil society. Through Changemakers, he documents leadership, ambition, and the realities of building influence in Africa today.

As a writer, Kennedy is known for sharp, human centered narratives that challenge comfort and question power. His books explore ambition, career pressure, politics, freedom, and economic structures in the African context, speaking directly to young professionals and entrepreneurs navigating uncertainty. His writing blends storytelling, social critique, and practical insight, grounded in lived experience.

Kennedy’s work is driven by a simple idea: technology without context fails, and communication without truth is noise. He focuses on building systems, platforms, and narratives that are locally relevant, economically grounded, and designed to last.

He lives and works in East Africa, collaborating with regional and global partners to rethink how African institutions communicate, grow, and lead in a rapidly changing world.
