Kenneth DiPietro
Pursuing a longtime interest in improving and managing workplace cultures, Kenneth DiPietro has enjoyed a long career in human resources leadership. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Lenovo Group in Morrisville, North Carolina, and Beijing, China. Mr. DiPietro oversaw all aspects of the computer software and hardware company's human resources operations, which grew more focused on creating a positive social environment as Lenovo crossed national boundaries and grew into China's first global corporation.
From a single-country business model, Lenovo expanded its ties to include 25,000 employees in more than 130 countries, which fell under Mr. DiPietro’s direction. He also played an instrumental part in managing the cultural integration of IBM's PC division after Lenovo China acquired it, along with additional achievements.
Kenneth DiPietro served as Corporate Vice President of Human Resources at Microsoft Corporation prior to his collaboration with Lenovo Group. His duties at Microsoft included leading the implementation of a new human resources structure, upgrading the overall talent and leadership within the function, and leading the installation of a first-ever long-term compensation plan as part of the firm's first dividend issue.
Upon graduating from Cornell University, after a brief role in college relations with an oil field services company, Kenneth DiPietro started his career with PepsiCo where, over 18 years, he held increasingly complex and broad assignments in that company's beverage, snack food, and corporate operations across the U.S. and in international settings. This culminated in his appointment to Senior Vice President of Human Resources of Pepsi-Cola International before he moved on to employment with the Dell Computer Corporation and, eventually, Lenovo.
