Hi. I'm Dr. Kenneth McCulloch and I would like to take a moment to share a bit about myself. I understand that you have choices when it comes to your health care, and am honored that you're considering putting your orthopaedic health in my hands. I thought it only fair that you get to know something about me in return.

After growing up in New York, I earned my undergraduate degree close to home at Princeton University in New Jersey. I then went on to earn my M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson and completed my training in orthopaedic surgery back in New York City at St. Luke's / Roosevelt Hospital Center and the University of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. I then earned a coveted spot in a prestigious fellowship in adult reconstruction at Stanford University Medical Center.

Alas, it seems New York will always be home and I returned here to once again be closer to my family and friends.

Upon my return to the area, I became the first doctor in New York City to offer patients

direct anterior hip replacement, which is a less invasive hip replacement surgery that results in less pain than the traditional approach. I also introduced a new procedure for treating joint diseases to both the New York Downtown Hospital and the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases. The procedure I introduced has gained much traction in the area as it greatly improves patient outcomes; so much so that the New York Times wrote a feature about the procedure and its benefits.

I was also first doctor in New York City to provide custom fit knee replacements. These surgical implants are designed to reduce the time required to perform a knee replacement and provide a more precise alignment of the knee joint, allowing the implant to function for a much longer period of time.

Recently, I had the honor of performing New York City's first ever virtual robotic total knee replacement - a procedure I firmly believe will soon be the gold standard of care in knee replacement surgery. This technique delivers precise, predictable outcomes that benefit both patient and physician.

I believe it is important to embrace and incorporate medical advances into current patient care, and as such I wa
