Kenneth "KD" McDaniel

Commissioner, Kenneth McDaniel is running for Paterson, NJ City Council At-Large. His ballot designation is Row 3B in the May 8, 2012 election.

Kenneth holds a BA in Sociology from Bloomfield College, a Graduate School Certificate in Public Management from Farleigh Dickinson University, a Graduate School Certificate in Addiction Studies from Montclair State University, a Graduate School Certificate in Education Administration from New Jersey City University, a Master's in Administrative Science from Farleigh Dickinson University and a PhD in Education Administration from Madison University.

In 2004 Commissioner McDaniel was inducted into the Passaic County Technical Institute Hall of Fame. Kenneth has been certified as a Criminal Justice Counselor and as a Chemical Dependency Associate. He completed the New Jersey State Police Department's professional training on Street Gang Awareness. For his volunteer work with the Paterson Police Department's Domestic Violence Response Team, he received a Citation of Commendation from the State of New Jersey General Assembly. Kenneth was certified as an instructor of Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

Kenneth is currently the Principal of the Passaic County Educational Services Commission's High School Credit Recovery Program and Assistant Principal at Passaic County Technical Institute. Ken served the children and parents of Paterson when employed by Paterson Public Schools in the following capacities, Substance Awareness Coordinator, Intervention Specialist, and Vice Principal.

Before embarking on a career in education, Kenneth served as a Probation Officer at Passaic County Probation, a Division of New Jersey's Administrative Office of the Courts. Kenneth worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at Bloomfield College. He served as a contributor to and as a featured columnist for "PATERSON" The Magazine. Kenneth worked with Nicholas Realty and EXIT Queen's Realty as a licensed Realtor.

Kenneth is the C.E.O. of Pharaoh's Dynasty Investments, LLC; a Real Estate and Management Company. He was the Marketing Director and Co-Founder of Grown Folks Entertainment Group; an event planning and coordinating consulting firm. He was the owner of Krown Digital Recording Studio; a Paterson-based music production and recording studio.
