Kenneth Richard Romero (born 25th May 1963) is an Orthopedic Surgeon currently serving (since August 2018) as the Medical Director in the Special Operations Surgical Team under the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).

EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Kenneth was born in Waterbury, Connecticut to a prominent family, His father was a Engineer and his Mother (Hispanic descent) was a successful business woman. In 1979 he completed his High School from Staple High School in Westport CT, He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut at Storrs and received his MD degree from Georgetown University. He completed five years of Orthopedic Training Residency at the University of Pennsylvania

CAREER

Dr. Kenneth was the Division Head of Orthopedic Surgen at Burgdorf Health University Connecticut, He is currently working in Afghanistan under the United Nations Authority as the Medical Director of Special Operations Surgical Medical Team and Paramedics Medical Emergency Response Team.

PERSONAL LIFE

Kenneth was born in Connecticut, He is the only child of his parents, he lost his parents (Engr. Allen Richard and Mrs. Paula Richard) at the age of 11 years, Kenneth grew up with is his late father's colleague (Mr. James Pipper) whom adopted him after the death of his parents. Kenneth got married to Helena Travis a Chattered Account and they had a Daughter together. Helena died during the process of giving birth to their second child in 8 February 2015.
