Dr. Kenneth E. Thorpe is chairman of the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease, a position he has held since 2007. Dr. Kenneth Thorpe (Ken) also serves as the Robert W. Woodruff professor and chair in the department of health policy and management for the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease is an international coalition focused on highlighting the growth in health care expenses caused by increasing chronic disease rates. Dr. Thorpe's mission at the Partnership to Fight Chronic Disease is to educate the public about chronic disease, mobilize citizens to call for systematic change in how the government, as well as employers and health institutions, approach chronic disease, and to challenge policymakers on changes to health policy that need to be made to fight chronic disease most effectively.

Dr. Thorpe has a BA in political science from the University of Michigan and is an avid Wolverines fan. He also holds a MA in public policy from Duke University and a PhD in public policy from Pardee Rand Graduate School.
