KENNIECIA GRANT (Bronx, New York) Soprano

Developing a love of opera at a young age, Kenniecia's scholastic endeavors reflect her insatiable quest for knowledge of self and music. After receiving her B.S in Counseling Psychology and B.M. in Music Performance from Washington Adventist University (formerly known as Columbia Union College) in 2009, she went on to attend the University of Maryland, College Park completing a M.M in Opera Performance in 2012.

An aspiring opera singer, Kenniecia has performed internationally, sharing her vocal command and range in countries such as South Africa, London, Brazil, Argentina, Eastern Europe. She has also performed locally in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia areas.

Reknowned for her effortless and soulful renditions of classical opera, The Washington Post has labeled her as a singer with “gorgeous warmth and musical common sense.”
